DIY No-Sew Braided Rag Rug Pattern.
This is a tutorial on an 8 strand braid-in rag rug. It's for a round rug. I walk you through every step of the rug-making process, from choosing fabrics to joining the fabric strips to finishing the rug. I have included instructions and many step-by-step photos to make this tutorial easy to understand and fun to make. With a little practice, you'll soon be making your own beautiful, unique Braid-in rag rugs!
No special tools needed! Just fabric, scissors, and your hands! The entire rug, from start to finish, can be made with just your two hands. A sewing machine can be used to join the strips of fabric. But if you don't have one, the strips can be joined with a simple knot. I even show you how to make the knot!
This is a Tutorial - NOT A FINISHED RUG. You will be receiving 2 PDF digital downloads of instructions on how to make your own 8 Strand Braid-in Rag Rug. The first PDF is how to get started with fabrics and prep the strips. Then it takes you through the first 3 rows. The second PDF continues the rug and teaches you how to finish your rug. The last page is full of tips and suggestions to help with some of the questions you may have.
You can make this rug any size you want. I'm available to assist with any questions you may have while working on the tutorial. You can contact me via an Etsy convo or through the email that I provide in the PDF tutorial.
This tutorial is a final sale, due to the digital nature it cannot be returned or refunded. Thank you.

Many have asked if they can make Rag Rugs from my PDF tutorials and sell them. Of course, you can! I don’t own anything you make. I do own this tutorial. Please don’t share or give copies of this tutorial to anyone. If someone wants a copy, please direct them to my website to purchase his or her own copy. If you sell online, such as Etsy, I would also appreciate it if you would provide a link back to my shop when you sell a rag rug made from my tutorial. Thank you for being professional and ethical!
